Where is Shunde?
A district of Foshan, Guangdong, in the heart of the Pearl River Delta.
Guangzhou to the north, Zhongshan to the south, Dongguan and Shenzhen to the east. About 30 minutes by metro/intercity train from Guangzhou South Station.
In one line: Shunde is an origin — a place that makes home appliances.
What does Shunde make?
Large appliances + small appliances, both.
The official industry map classifies it as "smart home appliances" (a strategic pillar industry), and names five key companies:

These five say one thing: Shunde does not "only make small appliances"; it covers the "whole appliance range".
The scale of Shunde's industry
⚠️ First, the basis: the official Shunde district government work report (2026-03-16) does not publish an "appliance output value" figure separately; it only gives district totals such as GDP.
What public sources say (media / industry-association figures, not government statistics):
- Shunde's appliance output value is about 15% of the national total
- Annual output value has passed 400 billion yuan
⚠️ I could not find the original text of these two figures on any government website, so they are marked "media figures, pending verification".
What can be confirmed: Shunde is the "Home Appliance Capital of China" (that title comes from the industry, not from a government document).
Why Shunde?
Three things.
① The whole chain is local
Take an appliance apart: compressor/motor, plastic housing, metal parts, control board, packaging. For all of these you can find a factory in Shunde.
② There is an "OEM gene"
Donlim is a global OEM giant in small appliances (it makes private-label goods for foreign brands). That means: Shunde factories are used to export orders — they understand certification, packaging and shipping schedules.
③ There is design capability
Guangdong Industrial Design City is in Beijiao, Shunde — one of the earlier industrial design parks in China. That means: if you want to change the look or the function, the design resources are here.
Town by town, what does Shunde do where?
The official industry map lists three carriers, all in two towns.

〔Not confirmed: for the other towns and subdistricts of Shunde (Daliang, Ronggui, Chencun, Lecong, Longjiang, Xingtan, Jun'an) I did not find a government-published document on their appliance specialisations.〕
How complete are Shunde's supporting industries?

One key reminder: Shunde's cargo leaves mainly through Guangzhou Nansha or Shenzhen Yantian. When you negotiate FOB, ask clearly whether it is "FOB Nansha" or "FOB Shenzhen".

Station tip: Guangzhou South Station is the nearest high-speed rail hub; from there take the metro/intercity into Shunde.
