Kitchen storage is one of the main product groups in our export catalogue, and the questions importers ask are almost always the same: what is it made of, how many sets fit in a carton, what is the Minimum order quantity (MOQ), and how long does production take. This page answers those questions for our kitchen and kitchen-rack models, and is explicit about which material claims we can support and which we cannot.
What the kitchen range is actually made of
Our kitchen shelves and racks use moulded plastic parts — PP, ABS or PET — on steel or iron tube frames. Tube diameter and wall thickness differ by model, and they are the fastest way to tell two visually similar racks apart:
- Pull-out and sink racks typically use a 12.7 mm tube with a 0.3 mm wall.
- Utility carts run heavier: 19.1 mm to 25.4 mm tube with 0.55–0.6 mm walls.
- Dish racks can use 0.5 mm iron wire with PP plastic parts.
- Some models mix grades: for example an ABS top shelf with PP lower shelves.
Each product page states the material for that model. Where our specification sheet does not name a material, the page says so rather than guessing — and we will confirm it on the quotation.
What we do not claim about "eco-friendly" kitchenware
We do not describe this range as biodegradable, bio-based, recycled or eco-friendly. Some moulded parts are recyclable plastics (PP, ABS and PET are all recyclable grades) and some factories can offer recycled content on request, but we hold no supplier documents or test reports for those claims, so they stay off our pages. If your market requires a specific recycled content, a food-contact certificate or a material declaration, tell us at quotation stage with the SKU and the destination, and we will confirm what the factory can document for that exact item.
How to compare two similar racks
Ask for these six points and two racks that look identical in a photo stop looking identical:
- Tube diameter and wall thickness — 12.7 mm × 0.3 mm is not the same product as 25.4 mm × 0.6 mm.
- Shelf material and grade: PP, ABS or PET, and whether top and bottom shelves differ.
- Tier count and external size, checked against the cabinet, counter or floor space you are selling into.
- Quantity per carton and carton size — these decide your freight cost per set.
- Gross weight per carton, where we publish it.
- MOQ for that specific model.
MOQ, FOB pricing and lead times
Kitchen-rack models usually carry an MOQ of 100 sets; power tools in the same catalogue start at 50 pcs, and a few textile and daily items are 1,000 pcs. Prices shown on this site are reference FOB Yiwu values; payment terms and the final delivery date are confirmed on the official quotation. Published lead times are 15 days for standard production, 25–40 days for fully custom orders and 3–7 days for items in stock. Samples usually leave within about 7 days.
Certification documents
The certification row on each product page reads "on request" on purpose: document availability differs by SKU and by destination market, and we do not print a certificate number on a page unless we hold the document for that model. Give us the SKU and the destination port and we will confirm which documents are available before you commit.
The four packing numbers to ask for
Whatever the material, the commercial decision rests on four numbers: quantity per carton, carton dimensions, gross weight and the number of cartons in your order. With those four you can calculate CBM and landed cost per set before you place the order. If a supplier will not give you all four, that is information in itself. Who we are — and what we do not do
Novel Home Goods is the export brand of YIWU RUIHA TRADING CO.,LTD., a sourcing agent and export trading company based in Yiwu, Zhejiang, China. We are not a factory: we own no production lines, and we source from a network of partner factories.
What we do
- Source products in China to your specification, and quote FOB Yiwu, tax not included.
- Arrange a pre-shipment self-check on request: quantity, appearance, function, packing and carton marks, all checked against the approved sample. We issue a self-check record and a packing list.
- Welcome you at our Yiwu office and warehouse — by appointment in advance.
- Paid add-on services on request: hotel booking and interpreter accompaniment (languages arranged to your needs).
- Accept enquiries of any size: our sourcing service has no minimum order threshold.
What we do not do
- We are not a freight forwarder and we do not offer freight forwarding. You appoint your own forwarder; ask your forwarder for freight rates and transit times. A freight quotation is valid for 7 days — that is the validity of the quotation, not a transit time.
- We do not book space, we do not handle customs clearance, and we do not provide a consolidation warehouse. Those steps belong to the forwarder you appoint.
- We do not offer DDP door-to-door delivery.
- We do not issue visa invitation letters.
- We do not publish commission rates. Commission depends on order size and is calculated on the product value of the order — contact us for a quote.
- We do not issue inspection reports: we are not a third-party inspection body. Where a third-party report is required, it is commissioned from an accredited third party that you appoint, and that report, its cost and its liability are the third party's.
Terms: T/T in full before shipment. Sample fees are charged, and deducted from the order payment once the order is placed. Each product's MOQ is set by the supplier and printed on that product page — that is a separate matter from the sourcing service threshold above.
